Gimme Some Peter, Bjorn & John (Photo Gallery)

THIS Gallery at 5906 N. Figueroa Street was packed with art and music lovers as Swedish indie rockers Peter, Bjorn & John showed off the sights and sounds of their latest album.

All it took were two amps and three songs for Swedish indie rockers Peter, Bjorn and John to satisfy the audience of art and music lovers who packed THIS Gallery in Highland Park on Thursday evening.

The crowds were drawn to THIS for a showing of works by Jonas Torvestig, which adorn PB&J's latest album Gimme Some, as well as the promise of DJ sets by the band members themselves.

The faithful who filled the gallery were rewarded with an impromptu PB&J set--performed via drum machine and what looked to be 50 watt amps. The duo threw down a pair of tracks from their latest album, including "Breaker, Breaker" and "Eyes" from Gimme Some.

"This is an art show, not a music show," warned guitarist Peter Morén striking the opening chords of "Breaker, Breaker."

Gallery co-owner Aaron Farley said he was able to organize the show with the help of promoter Matt Goldman, who has been staging small gallery perfomances for the band in major cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

"They're just tyring to do some interesting, different kinds of shows on this tour," said Farley.

Peter, Bjorn and John will also be playing some traditional shows on their current U.S. Tour, including a stop on Wednesday, October 5 at the El Rey Theatre.
