Trekking LA Tour Series: Explore Highland Park

Introducing LA Commons' Trekking LA program, returning for the sixth season in 2012. Our Trekking LA tours are led by our Neighborhood Docents, an amazing cadre of local leaders and guides who provide ongoing opportunities for exploring Los Angeles' most interesting neighborhoods, using their knowledge to introduce tour-goers to the hidden gems lurking around every street corner.

Yim's second summer tour of Highland Park will expose participants to the rich history of art that Highland Park has to offer. Tour goers will explore the history of this main business district, with an emphasis on the art of yesterday and today. The tour will meet at the Ave 57 Highland Park Gold Line Stop by the Stone Copper Tree. Yim's tour is about 1.5 to 2 miles long. Participants will be walking mostly on concrete surfaces, with little elevation change.
