Trekking LA: Highland Park & The Delights of Garvanza

Introducing LA Commons' Trekking LA program, returning for the sixth season in 2012. Our Trekking LA tours are led by our Neighborhood Docents, an amazing cadre of local leaders and guides who provide ongoing opportunities for exploring Los Angeles' most interesting neighborhoods, using their knowledge to introduce tour-goers to the hidden gems lurking around every street corner.

Garvanza was once a successful rancho, and then it became home to people that brought the Arts & Crafts Movement to the Arroyo Seco communities. There is still evidence of that history, and today residents have taken pride in restoring their community to its original glory. Join Yim for her third summer tour of Highland Park, and explore the delights of Garvanza.

This tour will meet in the parking lot at Rite Aid located at 6305 York Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90042. This tour will run from 9am-11am.
