Patch Picks: Superbowl Sunday Lineup

Starting today, Highland Park-Mount Washington Patch will run a new weekly feature called Patch Picks, highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more. 

You’ll find useful lists to help you, your family, friends, and significant others find the best places for everything from Sunday brunch to date night out, kids party places, parks and more.

Patch Picks: Super Bowl Crawl

            The Scene: This gastropub will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 2 a.m. and showing the big game on both a flat screen television and a projector. They'll also be serving up potato skins and nachos to go along with your microbrew.

            The Scene: Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft for $3 and buckets of beer for $10 at Johnny's Bar. You can enjoy the game on either a flatscreen or a projector in the bar's intimate environs.

            The Scene: There's no better place to store up on beers or the world and fringe fizzies than Galco's. Sit back and relax with a Chai Lager as you cringe over the latest GoDaddy.com commercial.

            The Scene: The diviest dive of them all is open from 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Sunday. The perfect place to enjoy a drink as well as the intracacies of the game.

            The Scene: Want to impress your friends with some rustic vegan pizza garnished with fresh raddichio? Of course you do! There's no better place to stock up on locally sourced leafy greens than Figueroa Produce. Then chow down on some some gluten free nachos as you and your friends forgo the unnecessary violence of pro football and watch reruns of Law and Order.
