Thousands of people celebrated the 69th annual Northeast Los Angeles Holiday parade this past Sunday in Highland Park as marching bands, drill teams, dancers, musicians, floats, equestrian units, celebrities and community representatives, accompanied by Santa Claus, marched on North Figueroa Street, from Avenue 60 to Sycamore Grove Park.

The city's longest-running parade was led by actor, producer and humanitarian José Yenque, who was the event's grand marshal. The parade's theme was "People Helping People," a reflection on a year's worth of volunteerism and community engagement across Northeast Los Angeles.
