Northeast L.A. Celebrates Veterans Day With 6th Annual Parade

Northeast L.A. is ready to celebrate.

This year's Northeast Los Angeles Veterans Day Parade will coincide Eagle Rock's 100th anniversary and will offer plenty opportunities for NELA residents to celebrate. 

The sixth annual parade's festivities will begin with a solemn ceremony at Eagle Rock City Hall at 11 a.m., followed by the parade, which begins at Glassell Park Recreation Center. Following the parade, there will be a stage show at .

Locals looking to attend the parade without having to fight for parking will have access to two passengers buses, which will make continuous loops from Glassell Park Senior Center to Eagle Rock High School, continuing to the Eagles Club, then on to the solemn Ceremony at Eagle Rock City Hall.

Buses begin running at 9 a.m., with the last bus to the solemn ceremony leaving at 10:30 a.m.

Following the solemn ceremony buses will transport participants to the parade start, or back to Eagle Rock High, or the Eagles Club.

The Great American Stage Show is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. with performances by the  Eagle Rock Theater Arts Dancers, Patsy Metzger Dancers, Glendale College Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Award winning Acrobat Heidie and a special tribute to the armed forces by Band of Friends.
