Neighbors Plan Marmion Way Cleanup and Potluck

Community members are invited to participate in an effort to clean up the alley along Marmion Way between Aves. 56 and 57 on Saturday, August 20.

The cleanup, which is sponsored by a local neighborhood watch group, commences at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a potluck barbecue at 11:30 a.m., which will feature grills for vegetarians and meat eaters.

Participants are encouraged to bring food to share. 

Peter Bedard, an area resident who helped organize a successful alley clean during this past spring, said he is hopeful for a large turnout.

"It's so cool to see a sense of community and respect growing around here," he said.
