Neighbors Invited to Marmion/Monte Vista Cleanup

Community members are invited to participate in an effort to beautify the alleys along Marmion Way between Aves. 55 and 56 on Saturday, Oct 8.

The cleanup, sponsored by the Marmion Way and Avenues Neighborhood Watch, commences at 10 a.m. and should last about two hours.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies to help pick up trash, clear brush and paint over tagging.

This is the third cleanup hosted by the neighborhood watch in as many months. The group has been gradually picking up new members as a result of their efforts, said organizer Peter Bedard.

"We actually had two people show since August, so I'm excited to see if the trend continues," Bedard said.
