If the streets of Highland Park are anything like they were last night, today they’ll be buzzing with people making their way to their holiday destinations and snagging those last minute gifts from local businesses.
Not sure which stores and institutions will be open this weekend? We’ve got you covered. Government agencies and most stores will be closed, so here’s a brief rundown of holiday hours for some of Highland Park’s most frequented establishments.
HOT SPOTS: will be open today until 5pm and is closed on Christmas day. is open until 3pm today and will be closed tomorrow. will open at noon on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Showtimes vary, so call the box office to find out what’s playing. is open between noon and 6pm on Christmas Eve. Highland Park Billiards is open from noon until 2am on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

CONVENIENCE STORES: will close at 6pm on Christmas Eve and resume regular business hours on Monday. Rite Aid will stay open late tonight, until 11pm and their pharmacy will be open until 5pm. will be open from 9am to 5pm on Christmas Day, however, the pharmacy will be closed.
GROCERY STORES: Vons is open until 9pm tonight and will be open from 8am until 7pm on Christmas Day. Vons will be open at its usual time at 6am on Monday, Dec.26. Figueroa Produce closes at 4pm today and is also closed on Christmas Day.

INSTITUTIONS: will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 26 and reopens on Tuesday, Dec.27. The is closed today and tomorrow. The Highland Park branch implemented new business hours and is no longer open on Saturdays. Their new hours are Monday through Friday, 10am until 5:30pm.
RETAIL SPACES: Popular shoe store has extended its normal hours and is open until 10pm today, but they’ll be closed on Christmas day. The store closes at 9pm tonight and is closed on Christmas.
BANKS: is open until 1pm and is closed on Christmas. closes at 2pm today and is closed tomorrow. is open until at 3pm Christmas Eve and is closed on Christmas Day. All three banks are closed on Monday, Dec.26 and will reopen on Tuesday.
