Highland Park is home for artists such as Beck or Skrillex and the clothing chain Forever 21. It’s also home to the only historical trailer park in the state. Monterey Trailer Park stands on 1.7 acres of trailers, mobile homes and permanent “Craftsman-style houses” built in the early 1920s.
One of these homes is available for rent, according to a Craigslist post published Sunday. For $1,400 a month, you can get a two bedroom “craftsman-style” house with hardwood floors, granite counters, a yard and more importantly a chance to live in a part of history. The trailer park was awarded Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument status in 2002.
