Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 21
Kickoff the week by taking a fitness class or visiting a local exhibit.
1. All Saints Episcopal Church offers an aerobics and English class today. The three hour English class begins at 9 a.m. and is held at Franklin Adult Ed. An aerobics class starts at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
2. If you’re looking to fit in a good cardio workout, consider taking one of several classes at Anatomy fitness studio. Zumba, pilates, indoor cycling, and two sessions of executive kickboxing area on the schedule. Start times vary by class and cost $17 each. Contact the studio at (323) 259-5356 for more info.
3. Learn more about the role police officers play in the community by visiting the Los Angeles Police Historical Society. The museum is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and general admission is $8. Seniors get a $1 discount off admission, while children 12-years-old and under get in for free free. The Los Angles Police Society is located at 6045 York Blvd.

4. A handful of martial arts and exercise classes will be held at 1st Defense Mind Body Studio. 1st Defense also offers a variety of therapeutic services such as acupuncture, massage, and herbal healing. Call (323) 259-9525 to obtain further information
5. Land Mark showcases a group exhibition featuring the artwork of four Northeast Los Angeles residents. The exhibit examines nature’s border with man made environments and is on display at the Weingart Gallery at Occidental College. The Weingart Gallery is open from noon until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
