DOT Crews Fixing Faulty Traffic Lights on Ave. 59

DOT worker said the timer had malfunctioned.

Motorists navigated through flashing red lights on Aves. 58 and 59 on N. Figueroa Street on Friday at around 12:30 p.m. as a Department of Transportation worker attempted to fix a faulty traffic timer.

"The timer had malfunctioned, it wasn't working. I'm trying to fix it now," a DOT worker told Highland Park-Mount Washington Patch.

No accidents had occurred as of 1 p.m., however, motorists were clearly having some difficulty passing through the two intersections as pedestrians attempted to cross at the crosswalks.
