I've lived in HP since early 1960's. I am Mexican born, educated in HP local schools, and college educated. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly! But, HP is making positive changes that are improving the quality of life for all HP residents. It's irrelevant if you are Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian or other unmentioned [ethnic groups]. I welcome anyone to HP who is looking for a welcoming, safe place to call home. In regards to violence and crime, we all share a civic responsibility to help combat it by our active participation, establish Neighborhood Watches, work and support our local police department, and collaborate with our local political officials demanding services and policing. LA has so much to offer and we must all work together to make it a better place to live for everyone to enjoy!
