Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council to Consider Mount Washington Mural Tonight

The mural would honor Jack Rohman, a Mount Washington resident who died in January.

Local artist Zach Christensen is continuing his effort to erect a mural in tribute of his close friend , a Mount Washington resident who took his own life in January after a debilitating battle with schizophrenia.

Christensen will go before the tonight at 7 p.m. at , located at 4580 N. Figueroa Street. 

According to Christensen, the mural would replicate the one that he and Rohman, along with a group of local friends, created in summer of 2010.

Christensen said the mural would be created through a wheat-paste technique that he developed, and adhered to a 500-yard-long hill reinforcement on Mount Washington Drive. The mural would not be spray-painted, he said.
