5 Things to Do This Weekend: Improv Comedy, Prayer Circle, Gardening Workshop and More!

When: 9/23, 7 p.m.

Where: (5577 N. Figueroa St, Highland Park)

Mothers are invited to join this prayer circle to pray for their children, young and grown, in this hour and a half of meditation and prayer. Enjoy tea and vegetarian snacks. Bring a mat to sit on and a picture of your child if you’d like.

When: 9/24 or 9/25, 10 a.m.

Where: (115 S. Ave. 56, Los Angeles)

Highland Park residents will have an opportunity to learn to grow their own vegetables and prepare healthy recipes fresh from the garden! This workshop is part of the University of California Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardener Program. Attendance to this four-hour class is $20.

Where: Along Sunset Blvd.

Echo Park's Art Walk and Shop Hop is a celebration of community, art, and culture! Not only can you enjoy beautiful artwork along the streets of Echo Park all day long, many of the unique boutiques and eateries are offering specials, discounts and savings galore. .

Where: Pasadena City Hall (100 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena)

Join the Pasadena Symphony for a free concert at the newly-renovated City Hall Centennial Square. The concert, featuring award-winning artists, begins at 7:30 p.m. with pre-concert activities and dining beginning at 5:30 p.m.

When: Sept. 25, 7:30 p.m.

Where: (1000 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena)

Detour Improv Comedy is clean, game-based improv fun for the whole family! Tickets are $10 at the door, $7 in advance.
