Space for Media Pop-Up Shop in Highland Park Needed!

The Irvine Foundation has provided a grant to Outfest--the leading organization that promotes LGBT equality by sharing, creating and protecting the community's stories on the screen--to do a pop-up shop media lab for a month and they've selected Highland Park as the place to do it!

It will be a place to come see films, learn how to make films and use cameras & editing equipment (all for free).

However, they are having a much harder time then expected finding a location. They need approximately 1000 square feet that has foot traffic--ideally a vacant store front. They've exhausted York and have reached out to most vacant properties on Figueroa between Avenues 51 and 60. If you know of any business owners who might want to sublet or rent their space for a month, will you please contact me?

This will be a great resource to our community!

Now this is really something, so desperately needed in our beloved hamlet! Something everyone can be proud of! Can't wait for A Taste Of Highland Park! Truly this is the clear and present future... I look forward to the many more contributions this fine young man brings to the table.
