Arroyo Seco Organizations to Discuss Quality of Life Issues

The Council of Arroyo Seco Organizations meets at the South Pasadena Library today to discuss some key issues, including the Highland Park Transit Village.

1. Council of Arroyo Seco Organizations 

The  Council of Arroyo Seco Organizations, a forum for groups devoted to quality of life issues in the Arroyo Seco area such as transportation, the environment, outdoor recreation, historic preservation and education, will hold a meeting today, Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss key topical issues in the Arroyo Seco. Topics will include two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers studies affecting the Arroyo, Arroyo Seco Via, the 20th Anniversary of Hahamongna Watershed Park, the Highland Park Transit Village and the legal challenge to professional football at the Rose Bowl. 2. Highland Park Sportsmen’s Club meeting

The Highland Park Sportsmen’s Club will meet at Eagle Rock City Hall, 2035 Colorado Blvd., at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, to discuss a range of gun-related, recreational and sporting issues. Click here to read about the club.

3. Northeast Democratic Club meeting

The monthly meeting of the Northeast Democratic Club is scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 21, at El Arco Iris restaurant, 5684 York Blvd., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

4. Little Ones' Storytime

Join a group of children aged four years or less and their caregivers for stories, music and playtime at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, at the Arroyo Seco Regional Library, 6145 N. Figueroa St., (323) 255-0537.
