Kiwanis Meet, HHPNC Meeting Canceled
What's on—and what's not as you gear up for the weekend.
The Kiwanis Club is scheduled to meet today, Thursday, Sept. 5, to review a range of club-related issues, including lessons learned at a recent Kiwanis convention. Open to the public, the meeting will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Milo Terrace Baptist Church Community Room, 754 N. Ave. 50. Lunch costs $5 at the door. Bring your ideas about how to make Highland Park a better neighborhood.
2. HHPNC meeting canceled
The board of the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council will not be meeting today, Thursday, Sept. 5, as scheduled earlier, according to a brief, last-minute note by HHPNC President Monica Alcaraz on the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council news alert listserv on Wednesday.
