Kiwanis Club Seeks Help For NELA Holiday Parade, 'Just Say No to Drugs'

1. Kiwanis Club meeting

The Kiwanis Club of Highland Park is scheduled to hold its weekly board meeting today, Thursday, Nov. 21. Much of the meeting will be focused on seeking help for supervising the so-called Youth Announcer Stations for next month's 69th Annual NELA Holiday Parade. If you or a friend can be of assistance, you are encouraged to attend. The Kiwanis will meet as usual at Milo Terrace Baptist Church Community Room, 754 N. Avenue 50, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The meeting is free; lunch is $5 at the door. As always, attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas for a better Highland Park.

A discussion on the city's "Just Say No to Drugs" program is scheduled today, today, Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Cypress Park Public Library from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aimed largely at teens, the program is advertised as being highly informative and will feature a selection of guest speakers.
