3. Kiwanis meeting
The Kiwanis Club of Highland Park is scheduled to hold its weekly board meeting on Thursday, Oct. 31. The Kiwanis will meet as usual at Milo Terrace Baptist Church Community Room, 754 N. Avenue 50, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The meeting is free; lunch is $5 at the door. As always, attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas for a better Highland Park.

Mark your calendars: The El Plan Del Southwest Museum Task Force, a local voluntary organization dedicated to connecting individuals in an effort to find ways for the long-term sustainability of the Southwest Museum, is organizing two tours of the museum on Saturday, Nov. 2. The first tour, at 1 p.m., will be bilingual and is limited to 50 people. The second tour, at 2 p.m., will be in English and is also limited to 50 people.
