2. Highland Park Old L.A. Certified Farmers' Market & Outdoor Fair
Highland Park's weekly Farmers' Market is scheduled today, Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Avenue 57 and Marmion Way, adjacent to the Metro Gold Line. This is a special kind of market: Proceeds go to the North Figueroa Association, a nonprofit group that will use the money for the security, cleanliness and improvement of the North Fig corridor and community. 3. Kiwanis Club meeting
Mark your calendars: The Kiwanis Club of Highland Park is scheduled to hold its weekly board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14. The Kiwanis will meet as usual at Milo Terrace Baptist Church Community Room, 754 N. Avenue 50, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The meeting is free; lunch is $5 at the door. As always, attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas for a better Highland Park.
