Enjoy a Weekend of Art, Fruit and Music

A calendar ripe for picking.

1. 'Lichen' photography exhibition

An exhibition of photographs is scheduled to open on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Platform, a husband-and-wife-owned art gallery, retail store and studio located at 5027 York Blvd. The exhibition features snapshots of beautiful patterns and colors produced by lichen growing on rocks in Montana and Wyoming each year for the past decade. The images were captured by husband-and-wife Timothy Sellers and Allison Achauer.

2. RIPE Eagle Rock!

It's the season for abundant fruit and vegetables—and perhaps there's an excess of it in your backyard garden. If so, you might want to exchange your home-grown, pesticide-free avocados or grapefruit for organic parsley or chard in the garden of an Eagle Rock house this coming Sunday. Click here to read more.
