Arroyo Seco Library Reopens, Red Cross Blood Drive

For the first time in three years, the Arroyo Seco Regional Library will be reopening on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., starting with this coming Sunday, Jan. 12. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled at the library, located on 6145 N. Figueroa St., at 12:30 p.m., followed by a series of special events. Click here to read more.
2. Blood Drive
Mark your calendars: The American Red Cross is scheduled to hold an all-day blood donation drive on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Division Station, located at 3353 N. San Fernando Rd. The drive starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. in the station's "break room."
