Arroyo Seco Via is a pedestrian and bicycle trail that links downtown Los Angeles with Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. On Saturday, Sept. 28, it will be the scene of a fun and festive CicLAvia-like 28-mile roundtrip bike ride aimed at promoting the idea of a protected bike path for commuting as well as recreational purposes. Riders depart from Hahamongna Watershed Park at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains in Pasadena, onward to the Los Angeles River Rally at Elysian Valley's Marsh Park near downtown L.A. 2. Mount Washington Elementary Pancake Breakfast
Mount Washington Elementary School is scheduled to have its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the school, located on 3981 San Rafael Ave., from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tickets the day of the breakfast will be $5 for kids and $8 for adults, but you can also buy them at the pre-sale price for $4 kids/$7 adults.
