Whoever hit Mac just left him there.
There were some cars stopped at some stop signs and two people standing on the sidewalk just staring at him.
None of them got out to help.
Mac was found in the middle of the street, run over and badly injured. This one-year-old pup had no chip or tags. What he had was the will to survive as he pulled himself towards me in hopes of getting help.
A trip to the emergency veterinarian revealed broken bones in his hind leg, pelvis and in his face. He's been at the vet ever since we found him and he's won over our hearts as well as everyone working at the vet's office.
The costs have been rising day-by-day, but it's our goal to get Mac back to full strength so he can run around and live a full, healthy life. All donations will be used to go to Mac's medical bills that are piling up.

I will continue to blog about Mac throughout his recovery and about animal welfare in our neighborhoods.

Thank you Heather, for having the heart to care about this poor little guy and help him recover. I'm chipping in a little bit to his fund!
