Scoops Now Open in Highland Park

An unadorned glass storefront and walls entirely bare aside from a few pieces of modern art provide an austere atmosphere for one of York Boulevard's most anticipated new businesses. 

There isn't much inside Scoops new 5105 York Boulevard location in Highland Park location but ice cream. But for those who have longed waited for the East Hollywood ice cream shop to open its Highland Park location, not much else is needed.

Scoops opened its doors on Saturday, August 18 for a soft opening. An employee named Sue, who scooped out a bowl of ice for a customer who visited on Monday afternoon, said that a grand opening celebration was set for about three weeks from now.

While Patch hasn't sampled any of Scoops ice cream yet, Eastside Food Bites had rave reviews.

... don’t let its plain Jane exterior hold you back. Go in and try what is arguably the best ice cream in town. Today they were serving up Brown Bread, Banana Oreo, Cherry Rum, Olive Oil Marscapone, and Chocolate Almond to name a few. I’m hoping for Guinness Chocolate in the near future.

Scoops is currently open from 2-9 p.m.,  Monday through Saturday.
