Man Critically Injured in 110 Crash

The accident occurs when a motorist takes an unsafe right turn.

A 24-year-old Los Angeles man was critically injured when he lost control of his car, slammed into a wall and overturned on the 110 Freeway Saturday evening.

The crash occurred near Avenue 43 at about 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the CHP.

The victim was heading north on the 110 Freeway in the number one lane
when he made an unsafe right turn, crashed his 2007 Toyota into a concrete wall and then overturned, according to the CHP accident report.

The crash shut down all northbound lanes for about an hour because of a subsequent oil spill from the car.

The victim was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment
of major injuries, according to the CHP. His current condition was not known.
