CD 1 Election Candidates Discuss Local, Regional Issues
Gil Cedillo and José Gardea appear before a large crowd of residents from Highland Park, Mt. Washington, Cypress Park and beyond.
Former Assemblyman Gil Cedillo and Council District 1 Chief of Staff José Gardea appeared before a crowd of about 125 people Saturday in a candidates’ forum and discussion held at the Highland Park Recreation Center.
The candidates offered their views on a range of local and regional issues, including bike lanes, affordable housing, digital billboards, public safety, the 710 freeway and the Wal-Mart Chinatown.
The runoff election between the two candidates will be held May 21.
