CICLAVIA Rolled through Downtown on Sunday, as cyclists and pedestrians reclaimed the roads.
More than 100,000 cyclists and pedestrians took to the streets on Sunday afternoon, as 10 miles of Downtown roadways were closed to motorists for the city's fourth CICLAVIA celebration.
Dozens of riders embarked to Sunday's celebration off open streets from the , which hosted a ride from Cypress Park to Downtown.
Riders arriving from the Eastside rode from the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Main all the way to the corner of Melrose and Heliotrope, taking in sights and sounds often missed from the driver seat of a motor vehicle.

"We see it like a gateway drug," said CicLAVia Organizer Joe Linton. "People can come to CICLA and realize that they can ride from city hall to Los Angeles City College, and it's easy. You don't have be Lance Armstrong. CicLaVia is very beginner friendly."
